Cross Outreach is a homelessness prevention program offering limited assistance with basic needs for households in transition, subject to available funding. Services include help with rent, security deposits, electric or water bills, laundry vouchers, storage costs, and support for moving-related needs. While assistance with car gas is not provided, the program also offers resources to help individuals maintain clean and sanitary living environments.

***Rent, security deposits, electric, water and laundry voucher assistance requires clients to email a help request on the 3rd Monday of every month between 8 am-8 pm.

2026 Intake Dates are as follows (3rd Monday of each month, 8 am-8 pm): Jan 19, Feb 16, Mar 16. Rest of year TBD.

Provides a client choice, non-food pantry for clients to receive items such as cleaning supplies, toilet paper, laundry detergent, personal care products, feminine hygiene products and diapers.

Decorah Community Food Pantry provides free food including canned products, meats, produce and dry goods; household items including cleaning supplies, paper products; and personal hygiene products may available. Donations of products and cash accepted. Individuals and families may visit once a week. People select their own items amount based on family size. This is a participating TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food pantry. Enrollment into TEFAP is confidential and requires proof of address and identification. Individuals participating in the FoodShare, School Nutrition Program, WIC, or Senior Meals programs may participate in TEFAP without impacting their ability to qualify for those programs.

Offers cleaning supplies that are available at no charge to those in need. Clients in need of transportation to pick up the supplies can contact Jo Daviess County Transit for further information.

Non-food pantry for items that can't be bought with food stamps. Includes household cleaning supplies, paper products, disposable diapers, feminine hygiene products, laundry soap, etc.

Offers a free laundry service once a month for anyone who comes to a local laundromat. Provides washer pods, dryer sheets and the quarters for the machines.

Drive-thru-only pantry held two Saturdays each month, and a pop-up outdoor pantry each Monday (food only). Offers perishable and non-perishable items, fresh produce, cleaning supplies, diapers, and laundry detergent washing sheets for 20 loads of laundry.

For Thanksgiving 2025, Thanksgiving pantry is Thu, Nov 20, starting 10 am.

For Christmas 2025, Christmas pantry is Mon, Dec 22, starting 11 am.

Blessing Boxes distributed every Saturday at JB Young, including cleaning, hygiene, paper products, and laundry products.

Community garden available in the summer.

Fall program for 2025 - Trunk or Treat at the church parking lots on Hilltop in Davenport. Fri, Oct 31, 2025, from 5 pm-6:30 pm.

Thanksgiving program for 2025 - Free meal on Thanksgiving Day, Thu, Nov 27, 2025, from 11 am-1 pm. Eat in or take out at the church.
