Provides transportation to any person 60 years or older with pick-up site in Logan or Mason County. Transportation Services can be obtained for regular trips to medical appointments or treatment. Trips must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.

Please note: Persons under the age of 60 can utilize transportation but must pay the full fare (suggested donation). Persons over the age of 60 take priority.

Offers support services to individuals to assist them in remaining in their home. Volunteers assist in a variety of ways, including transportation to and from the grocery store, doctor appointments, pharmacy pickups, library pickups, etc. to simple handyman repairs and work (if volunteers are available for the handyman work). Also offers companionship to those in need of friendly visiting.

WARMING/COOLING CENTER/SHELTER TRANSPORTATION starting on 2/14/2025 at 10 am, all rides are free to anyone wanting to get to a warming/cooling center or homeless shelter. This is an ongoing extreme weather event and has no definite end point at this time. Bus routes information can be found at www.ridedart.com or check the list of warming/cooling centers as they have the corresponding bus route the caller would need to take to get to that particular warming/cooling center.

Anyone requiring PARATRANSIT may call 515-283-8105 to request a ride.

Riders are asked to consult schedules or the MyDART Trip Planner available on ridedart.com and through the MyDART App to locate the next bus nearest them. The can also contact Customer Service with questions about this service. The number to contact is 515-283-8100. For calls after 7 pm, riders are asked to contact 515-283-8108.

Provides financial and support services to Veteran families that are homeless or imminently at risk of being homeless. The goal is to stabilize the families in housing, while providing on-going support as needed to sustain independent living. Services may include rental and utility deposits and limited assistance, some moving costs and emergency supplies, case management services, transportation assistance, assistance in obtaining VA benefits and other public benefits.

Provides assessment and linkage for people who are HUD homeless. Administers funds for direct services through case managers at the local shelters. Helps in obtaining a birth certificate and ID cards for clients seeking a clearance card in order to stay at one of the local shelters. Can sometimes assist with relocations, bus tokens for medical appointments, and homeless verifications. Completes VI-SPDAT housing assessments with clients in order to add them to the Prioritization List.

Motel funds may be available to homeless families when no other emergency shelter can be found.
