Provides a safe, child friendly place for children and their families to meet with a specially trained interviewer and advocate who provide referrals for specialized medical exams, counseling services, and any other resources necessary. Assists children and families throughout law enforcement and DCFS investigations. Also provides child abuse prevention and body safety resources for families.

Emphasis is on changing beliefs that lead to violence, using tools to reduce impulsivity, and developing accountability for choices that lead to violence. Men's and women's groups are separate.

Nurturing Parenting Group - 12 week program designed to teach parents the philosophy and practices of nurturing parenting and raising healthy caring children. Sliding scale available. Open to anyone who wants to join. Meets on Mondays, 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm. Can join anytime during the 12 weeks.

Services provided include a 24/7 crisis hotline, an emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children, transitional housing for victims of domestic and sexual violence, individual, group and family counseling for adults and children experiencing domestic and sexual assault or abuse, legal advocacy including help obtaining Orders of Protection and support at court, medical advocacy to victims at hospital emergency rooms, and prevention and professional education in schools, with police and other first responders, and to community groups.
