Provides services that are designed to give individuals with disabilities the opportunity to obtain employment in the community.

Offers two levels of Supported Community Living Services designed to meet the daily living needs of adults with disabilities and mental illness. These services increase a client's independence and provide a level of relief for family members and caretakers. The level of service is determined by the individual, guardians, case managers, and providers to best suit their needs.

Provides outpatient behavioral health services to those in need. Services include counseling (both individual and group), therapy, supported employment for individuals with mental and behavioral health challenges, and psychosocial rehabilitation (groups to help people with daily living skills and mental illness recovery).

Prevocational Training
Supported employment provides vocational services which promote and support inclusion within the community. Encourages and assists people in obtaining jobs in the community or running their own small business. The focus is on assessing interest, job placement, and job coaching.

Job coaching provides training for clients to perform job tasks to the employer's specifications and to learn the interpersonal skills necessary to be accepted as workers at the job site.

Vocational centers provide training to teach people vocational skills and an opportunity to earn an income through completion of contract work.

Day Treatment for Adults With Developmental Disabilities
Provides an employment program for individuals with disabilities. Participants learn to apply job development skills such as interviewing, completing a job application, and/or writing a resume. These skills will be learned during MIW's Employment Preparation class. In addition, MIW staff will job coach and help with team-building skills, which includes interaction with supervisors and co-workers. The goal is successful placement within the community.

Helps individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by enabling them to successfully live, learn, work, and socialize in the community. Its programs are attuned to the unique potential of each individual and designed to build self-confidence and independence. Support services are provided through one or more of the following programs:

- 24-hour residential support.

- Developmental training.

- Supported living.

- Supported employment.

- Competitive employment.

- Janitorial training.

Assists clients 18 and older who are diagnosed with a developmental and/or intellectual disability in both obtaining and maintaining community-based employment. A job developer supports clients in determining employment opportunities they are interested in and finding a job. Job developers also support clients to fill out applications, prepare resumes and perfect interview skills. Once a job is obtained the coach assists in learning job responsibilities, the culture and values of the work environment, job accommodations and explaining how employment affects client benefits.
Direct service programming is offered to businesses and job seekers (with autism) to match needs and talents in permanent employment positions.
Improves the quality of life of individuals by providing training, education and employment programs.

SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT services are designed to provide personalized assistance to individuals with disabilities. Encouragement in independence by helping job-seekers get the skills necessary to find and maintain employment in the community. Program is focused on finding and utilizing individual strengths. Through job coaching and hands-on training, participants learn to understand their abilities and determine which jobs will allow those abilities to shine and go for their full potential.

BENEFITS PLANNING enables beneficiaries with disabilities to make informed choices about going to work also supporting them as they continue progress toward self-sufficiency. Team members will work with beneficiaries to provide in-depth counseling about benefits and the effect of work on those benefits. Education about benefits is provides in order to help beneficiaries attain independence and confidence. Team members counsel beneficiaries on Work Incentive Summary, Benefits Summary and Analysis, PASS plan, Impairment Related Work Expenses (IRWE) and resolve benefits issues.

Employment and training opportunities to individuals with disabilities, special needs, immigrants, refugees, and other barriers to employment. To apply for a position go online to www.lincolngoodwill.org.

Retail Organizational Employment offers paid work opportunities for individuals who meet basic admission requirements and have sufficient skills to operate independently in their chosen area of employment, after an orientation period. Individual Program Plans are developed to help participants gain the skills necessary to obtain future competitive employment. Participants are provided service coordination and case management services.

Job Outfitters assists individuals with obtaining proper interview and work apparel. Participants must be actively seeking employment or have recently secured employment. Case management takes place at the American Job Center.

Goodwill's Job Connection is located downtown in the Goodwill Retail Store. The purpose of Job Connection is to maximize the employability of job seekers in a market that requires some computer knowledge in nearly all jobs. Individuals may receive assistance with resume and cover letter creation and templates are available for use. Staff members are also available to help guide guests through online applications. Classes or tutorials for basic computer skills, typing and data entry are also made available. Many of the tutorials are available in both English and Spanish.

Supports individuals with disabilities and other needs in finding community-based jobs in businesses of their choosing. To do this, staff get to know a person outside of work, assess their interests, skills, and goals, look at their home environment, and find out when and where they are at their best. Staff then offer individualized training to improve skills as well as the opportunity to learn about different types of work by visiting businesses or trying out a job for 10 days.
