Designed to assist people with disabilities to find employment by assisting them with job readiness skills, benefits counseling, job development, and case management. The program works with local business, as well as state and federal agencies, to ensure that the services are all encompassing.

Individuals learn office skills, light industrial skills such as assembling, packaging, and housekeeping.

SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT services are designed to provide personalized assistance to individuals with disabilities. Encouragement in independence by helping job-seekers get the skills necessary to find and maintain employment in the community. Program is focused on finding and utilizing individual strengths. Through job coaching and hands-on training, participants learn to understand their abilities and determine which jobs will allow those abilities to shine and go for their full potential.

BENEFITS PLANNING enables beneficiaries with disabilities to make informed choices about going to work also supporting them as they continue progress toward self-sufficiency. Team members will work with beneficiaries to provide in-depth counseling about benefits and the effect of work on those benefits. Education about benefits is provides in order to help beneficiaries attain independence and confidence. Team members counsel beneficiaries on Work Incentive Summary, Benefits Summary and Analysis, PASS plan, Impairment Related Work Expenses (IRWE) and resolve benefits issues.

Benefits Planning and Work Incentives Counseling assists Social Security disability beneficiaries ages 14 to full retirement age in understanding how federal disability cash (SSDI/SSI), healthcare (Medicare/Medicaid) and other public benefits are impacted by income from work, providing the assurances needed to make informed decisions about working while disabled. This service also helps individuals identify and strategically use state/federal work incentives that best align with their work goals. Employment Services are provided under the Ticket to Work Program. The Ticket to Work program is uniquely designed for disability beneficiaries ages 18-64, that are currently receiving SSDI or SSI cash benefits, to obtain, maintain or advance in employment. Opportunity Consultants support individuals through the Nebraska Ticket to Work program by delivering career planning, goal setting, resume preparation, job search assistance, community resource navigation and personalized follow-along support. Participants also receive benefits education, healthcare planning and work incentive advisement.

Offers to help blind or low vision Iowans prepare for, obtain and retain employment in a wide variety of occupations. Applicants are determined eligible for services based upon their visual disability, their need for employment services and their intent to work. They will work with a VR Counselor to jointly identify an employment goal and the services needed to achieve it.

Community-based services and support to persons of all ages with developmental disabilities. Services includes Vocational training and employment services.

Adult leisure and recreational center for individuals who have reached retirement age. Clients are served through an alternative day program that emphasizes recreation, leisure, and maintenance of daily living skills. Alternative day services are also available for other adults whose needs do not include vocational or employment goals.
