Offers nutritious home cooked meals provided by Golden Meals are available to help promote healthy eating and reduce isolation by encouraging fellowship. Many social activities (movies, bingo, friendly Mexican dominoes, card games, knitting/crocheting, pool, etc.) are offered before and after the meal on selected days of the week.

Offers recreation programs and services to the residents of Des Moines. Parks, trails and public recreation facilities are available throughout the city.

The Recreation Division offers instruction in various sports as well as youth sports camps, outdoor aquatic centers and spray grounds. Red Cross swimming instruction is also available at some facilities. GRASP card offers discounts to low income families (up to 50% off).

The municipal pool provides general swimming water recreational activities for the public. In addition, specific programs are offered including: swim lessons for people with disabilities, parent-infant/toddler and pre-school swim lessons, Red Cross swim lessons (Levels 1-6), Red Cross lifeguard training and water safety classes, and water exercise sessions.

Cresco Park and Recreation offers many sporting and recreational opportunities for all ages. Call or visit website for specific programs.

Offers a wide variety of park and recreational services to the residents and visitors of the District, including programs for preschool children through seniors over age 50. Programs include:

The Senior Activity Center contains a kitchenette and pantry, telephone, internet access, and a meeting area. Senior activities are scheduled based on interest and can include social activities and games, public health wellness screenings, and educational sessions.

The Recreation Department offers a variety of recreation programs for children, youth, and adults. Activities offered include: archery, baseball, basketball, football, kickball, soccer, and softball.
Waukon Wellness Center offers fitness classes, including: cardio, chisel, senior circuit, cardio kick, fitness mix, total body conditioning, yoga, zumba, YogaSculpt, group cycling and circuit challenge. The facilities include cardio and strength equipment; basketball, volleyball, tennis, and racquetball courts.

Parks and recreation department serving the city of Rockford. Provides a wide range of activities for individuals of all ages. Lewis Lemon Community Center (LLCC) and Washington Park Community Center (WPCC) also offer sports programs for youth.

LLCC and WPCC Sports: Community center members are invited to participate in various sports teams. All practices take place on site. Competitions take place between local community centers and other not for profit organizations.
