Offers a crisis line for families and survivors of sexual abuse, domestic abuse or any other violent crime. A specially trained advocate will answer the crisis line and assist in any matter pertaining to sexual abuse, domestic abuse, or any other violent crime by listening and providing information, support and referrals. The crisis line is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Provides emotional support, individual counseling, support groups and therapy. Offers support and information for significant others, legal advocacy, medical advocacy, children's individual and group counseling, sheltering and housing services, along with general advocacy to help all community systems enhance their response to domestic abuse, sexual abuse or any other violent crime victims.

There is an alternative program for people with severe mental disorders, medical concerns, or other uncommon factors which require individualized services. Those appropriate for this group include: Court ordered clients, referrals from DHS and those who volunteer.
Provides comprehensive services for victims of domestic violence. Services include shelters for those affected by domestic violence and outreach services. Shelter location is confidential and not available to the general public. Outreach Services include counseling, court assistance, and public education and presentations. Services also include support groups for victims and survivors in Polk and Warren Counties, and child advocacy services in Polk and Warren Counties.
Crisis Line is answered by a trained domestic violence advocate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Victims of domestic violence or their friends and family members can receive counseling, information, and education about domestic abuse issues.

Confidential services include; legal advocacy, individual counseling, housing & economic advocacy, medical advocacy, assistance with protection orders, educational support groups, group counseling, clinical counseling, community outreach and awareness. Services range from crisis intervention counseling, legal, medical and/or personal advocacy, safe shelter and safety planning, transitional and emergency housing, community education and outreach. CIAC staff and volunteers will travel to meet victims in order to accommodate their needs. Advocacy is provided with landlords, schools, employers, and other professionals to secure their rights, stop eviction or utility shut off and/or safety. All services are free, voluntary, confidential and available to all without discrimination.
