- Psychosocial rehabilitation: Provides opportunities to manage and recover from a serious and persistent mental illness.
- Intensive case management: Assists eligible individuals with skills related to personal care, community living, home management, accessing medical care, and medication management, while providing supportive counseling and advocacy.

They are committed to this unit due to their high risk for assaultive and/or self-injurious behavior to the point that no other providers are equipped to adequately care for them, and there are additionally a few patients who reside at the FPH who have been found, "Not Guilty by Reason of Insanity (NGRI)."
