Coalition-driven program that focuses on the prevention of substance use among youth. The coalition meets regularly in order to coordinate ways to reduce youth substance use. In order to advocate for healthy decision-making among students ages 11 to 18, Project LEAD partners with area schools to present an evidence based curriculum which focuses on social-emotional learning, drug-related facts, and refusal skills to refrain from substance use.

Offers help to people who are experiencing problems with substance abuse. Services include, DUI Evaluations, DUI risk education, Secretary of State Investigatory Reports, group counseling, educational groups, drug screening, outpatient assessments, individual Sessions, and Secretary of State updates.

Provides social support to Latinos in the area. Services offered in Spanish.

Offers a variety of educational programs and activities to help youth, schools, workplaces, and communities understand and work on issues connected to the underage use and abuse of tobacco, alcohol and other drugs.class="pasteContent_RTE">

Provides substance abuse evaluations and then referral to treatment appropriate to the client's needs.

Offers Adult Outpatient Treatment support groups that meet weekly, and Extended Adult Outpatient Treatment that meet three times a week for two hours per session for eight weeks and is followed by an individual aftercare group. The program consists of a combination of education, group, and individual sessions. AA and/or NA attendance is necessary in addition to the treatment hours. Individual sessions are provided as part of Aftercare planning and based on the individual's need. Aftercare Services provides structured group therapy on a weekly basis for individuals that have completed treatment with any agency. The focus of this group is recovery issues. Discover Program is an early intervention modality for adolescents who are or have the potential for developing an abuse pattern of chemical use and have issues such as self esteem, decision making, peer pressure, and help with communication skills. DUI Assessments are completed to determine an individual's educational and treatment needs. DUI Remedial Education class educates clients on the effects of alcohol/drugs, including the physical effects, the disease concept of alcoholism, DUI laws, and alcoholism as a family disease; meets on four consecutive Monday evenings.

Offers free and age appropriate educational services to children and young adults from pre-school to college levels. Will also present valuable information to churches, civic groups or other organizations, as well as business and industry. Presentations can be tailor-made to suit school or organization’s needs. All programs are completely free.

Counseling can help strengthen your family, develop your relationships and prevent small problems from getting out of control. Individual, family and group therapists assess and treat everything from everyday stress to chronic mental health disorders.

Outpatient substance use disorder services are available for persons who have used drugs or alcohol or have been diagnosed as chemically dependent, if they can be treated in the community.

Offers a wide range of behavioral healthcare and integrated care services. Services include the following:

Individualized Treatment Services includes, comprehensive mental health and substance use assessment, counseling services, crisis stabilization, life skills development, and dual diagnosis services.

Substance use treatment services includes, outpatient treatment services, DUI evaluations and risk education, substance abuse education, substance use counseling, and Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT).

Psychiatric services include, medication assessment, medication monitoring, psychiatric services available in all Sinnissippi Centers' main office locations.

- Communicable disease control.

- Emergency preparedness, disaster relief, and emergency planning.

- Wellness services for area businesses or individuals, to adopt healthy lifestyles through education and wellness activities.

- Weight loss programs and health coaching services.

- Education on the dangers of radon gas and radon testing kits.

- CPR and first aid training throughout service area.

- Education and colon cancer screening kits to the community to encourage prevention and early detection of colon cancer.

- Tai Chi and Bingo-cize fall prevention classes.

- School nursing.

- Substance abuse prevention through the Healthy Communities Initiative, providing education and activities to reduce drug and alcohol use among youth.

- Dental screenings and education offered to preschool and grade school children. Sealants and fluoride treatments also available.

- Childhood and adult vaccines, provided at each Public Health Department location (Norfolk, Tekamah, and Wisner). Includes vaccines for those who are privately insured or receive Medicare or Medicaid, and those who are uninsured.

Outpatient therapy and counseling for individuals and families, in addition to medication management and substance abuse evaluations. Arm in Arm, Aiding Recovering Moms is a program for pregnant and/or parenting women who also have problems with substance abuse. Substance abuse recovery planning coordinates schools, employers, family, and recovering person to put a plan in place that includes relapse prevention. Youth care coordination program offers one-to-one support and case management services for children and youth with a severe emotional disturbance (SED) diagnosis. Community support assists persons with severe and persistent mental illness through one-to-one services, helping clients live in a residence of their choice. Provides assessment, planning, linking and monitoring services to meet the client's needs. Prevention services include a wide-range of speakers, informational videos, books, and brochures.

Emergency support program provides support to individuals who are experiencing a mental health or substance use emergency.

Medication Assisted Treatment including Medication Management with providers specially trained and licensed to provide MAT.

Provides DUI evaluation/risk education, counseling, and substance abuse school-based prevention programs. Outpatient counseling is available for adults and adolescents, and substance abusers or persons whose lives are impacted by substance abuse. Counseling takes place in the form of individual and group counseling, family counseling, and referral to appropriate self-help groups. For adolescents, the Mental Illness & Substance Abuse (MISA) specialist provides age-appropriate and individualized treatment to dual diagnosed adolescents, addressing issues such as behaviors, self-esteem, emotional and physical health, strengths and goals, substance abuse, history, relapse prevention, healthy recovery environments. The Recovery Resource Center is a central point of information to help individuals and families navigate substance use treatment and recovery services. Services include assessments, referral, treatment, and support services.
