Eligibility

Must live in Illinois, be engaged in an approved work or school activity, be requesting care for children under the age of 13 year of age, have total family income below allowable limits, looking for work or enrolling in school (approved for 1 year)

Proof of income, proof of residence, work or school schedule, and copy of grades (if applicable), copy of IEP or Responsibility and Service Plan (RSP) from local IDHS offices *Please note: Additional information may be requested

Description

Provides focused help on improving the quality of children and families lives with a focus on insuring the accessibility, affordability, and quality of child care and early education in the southern fifteen counties in Illinois.

Services include Information to families on resources and programs in the region, referrals to families for child care and early learning programs, financial assistance with child care costs to eligible families, resources and support for child care and early education programs.

Training, education, and professional development assistance to professionals and programs designed to promote continuous quality improvement, referral service contract for employers, an facilitation of community collaborations and community-based early childhood system building.
