Tax preparation offered free to low and moderate income individuals throughout the Benton, Cedar, Iowa, Jones and Linn County areas. Tax appointments are not open currently but will soon be announced on the website. 211 is NOT scheduling appointments - individuals must visit the website to schedule an appointment.

Photo ID (for all taxpayers), social security cards (for everyone on the return), bank account and routing numbers (for direct deposit/withdrawal) proof of bank account - routing, and account numbers for direct deposit, such as a blank check, must bring last year's tax return or IRS transcript, all 2025 tax documents (including: forms W-2s, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-NE), or any other IRS or state tax documents that was received, and proof of health insurance
