SERVSAFE CLASSES | IOWA STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION AND OUTREACH

SERVSAFE classes for food service professionals. Training will provide knowledge such as food hazards and proper food handling practices in order to keep food safe and protect the establishment against a foodborne-illness outbreak. Participants will learn ways of prevention, regulatory requirements, and how to improve food quality.

Provides the opportunity to take an exam to be certified as a Food Protection Manager, through one 6-hour course plus the certification exam. Upon successfully passing the exam, certification is provided by the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation to be certified as a Food Protection Manager.
