One-Time Rental Assistance | City of Champaign Township

Open to residents ages 18 years and older who are either a U.S. resident or a legal alien; must provide a reason (hardship); must have 5 or 10-day landlord's notice OR an eviction notice to receive assistance with rent arrears, or proof of homelessness if seeking funds for a security deposit; must have proof of verifiable, reoccurring income; the maximum amount of assistance possible is $800, any balance that is above $800 at the time of applying will be denied

Copy of IDs for all adult household members, Social Security card for all household members, Proof of income for the last 30 days (this includes earned and unearned income) for all adults in the household, Copy of current lease, Landlord's 5 or 10-day notice, Document that shows your current balance needing paid (ledger from landlord), Proof that a short-term emergency occurred, causing a temporary decrease in income
