Paid Skills Training Programs | Goodwill of Central Iowa

Offers occupational skills training programs designed to support individuals with barriers to employment.

The Warehouse/Packaging/Logistics Skills Training program is based on the MSSC Certified Logistics Associate certification and includes hands-on experience in a production and warehouse facility.

The Retail Skills Training program uses the Goodwill retail environment and is centered around the National Retail Federation's Rise UP certification.

The Food Service Skills Training program prepares individuals for employment in the food service industry through training in food safety, customer service, communication, and restaurant operations, along with hands-on practice preparing and serving meals. Participants may have the opportunity to earn a ServSafe Food Handler certification. 

Programs may also include vocational assessments to help individuals identify their skills, abilities, interests, job preferences, and the supports they may need to succeed in various occupational areas.
