TEMPORARY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE | GREATER COMMUNITY AIDS PROJECT OF EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS

Offers emergency assistance for past due rent, utilities, medical co-pays, health and work-related transportation costs. Program must be the last resort, and the amount of assistance is limited. Services may also include access up to 50 pounds of food. All items must be for personal household consumption.

Application process

Must request assistance through a Champaign-Urbana Public Health District HIV care coordinator or a Champaign Housing Authority case manager

Proof of HIV status, photo ID, proof of income, proof of need

Eligibility

Open to individuals diagnosed with HIV, must be in or establishing services with an HIV physician, must be involved with HIV case management, must meet income guidelines, must be referred by Carle Foundation Hospital or a case manager through the Housing Authority of Champaign
