Promise Jobs | Iowa Workforce Development - Administration Office

Provides active FIP recipients with opportunities to gain work experience that enhances their skills and increases their employment potential. The program includes support for job search and placement by maintaining listings of available employment opportunities and offering assistance to participants in selecting and obtaining suitable positions. Participants engage in assignments associated with a position to the maximum extent possible, benefiting both their personal development and the community. While participants do not receive wages, they are provided with transportation allowances, child care assistance if needed, and Workers' Compensation Coverage through Promise Jobs.
