Eligibility

Open to women with annual income at or below 30% of the area median income for Polk County who are experiencing homelessness, including those who lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence, are staying in a shelter, transitional housing, or a place not meant for human habitation, or facing the imminent loss of housing, fleeing domestic violence or a similar dangerous situation, or are exiting prison or jail, participants must have at least 30 days of sobriety, women coming directly from a Medicaid-funded treatment program may be eligible after 28 days of treatment, pregnant women may also be eligible, legal income is not required to enter the program but is required to progress through the program phases

Provides a non-emergency shelter and transitional housing program for women with on-site recovery services. The six-phase recovery program lasts approximately six months to two years. The first five weeks focus on safety and stability and serve as the shelter phase, after which residents automatically advance to the remaining program phases. Residents stay in shared rooms and receive trauma-informed case management, person-centered care, and peer recovery support. Supports women transitioning from prison or jail. Additional resources may include a food pantry, clothing closet, hygiene products, over-the-counter care items, financial literacy resources, and recovery meetings hosted by partner organizations.
