THE ADOPTION PROGRAM | WEBSTER-CANTRELL YOUTH ADVOCACY

Committed to achieving permanency in a child's life by providing Private Adoption services, as well as Adoption Conversion Services. Conversion services allow a foster family to permanently adopt a child in their care, establishing a permanent living arrangement and lifelong supports.

Caseworkers will provide encouragement and support throughout the entire adoption process which includes:

-- Advising adoptive parents on what training is required.

-- Completing an adoption packet which includes background clearances and obtaining a social history on the child and adoptive family.

-- Assisting families in determining eligibility for a monthly subsidy from the State, a medical card and other possible benefits like counseling for the child after the completed adoption.

-- Testifying in the adoption finalization court hearing.
