Y-EXCL SUMMER PROGRAM | EVELYN K. DAVIS CENTER FOR WORKING FAMILIES
Offers a paid, 10-week work-based experience for individuals 14-21 years old to develop and strengthen employment skills. Successful completion of a mandatory 2-week pre-employment training is required in order for students to receive job placement. For two weeks, participants will be trained in the core competencies of proper workplace ethics, communication, attire, and time management. Participants will receive training in financial literacy, financial tools, asset building, entrepreneurship, post-secondary processes, and resume building. Additionally, youth will understand the value of being work-ready and prepared to be a leader in their own lives.
