Eligibility

Individuals, families, older adults, and people with disabilities who have very low incomes

Required documents

Alien registration card (if applicable), application/registration forms, birth certificate (for applicants under 18), picture identification with proof of age (state ID card or drivers license), proof of citizenship (if applicable), proof of disability (if applicable), proof of immigration status (if applicable), Social Security card/number for all people who will be living in the home

Description

Provides Housing and Urban Development funds to cover some of the cost of rent for eligible individuals and families. Under the program the participant(s) pay 30% of their income toward rent and the Section 8 funds will cover the additional monthly cost.
