Description
Emergency Winter Overflow Shelter provides shelter for the homeless when the regular shelter is full. Will be open 7 days a week through March if the weather stays cold. Starting Nov. 15th.
**If anyone is working with someone in need of shelter, they should contact Shelter Services at 319-366-7999 or have the client VISIT Shelter Services at 318 5th St SE. If they are unable to get through via phone, leave a voicemail stating they are seeking shelter that day/evening and someone will call them back before 5 pm.
Individuals seeking shelter should arrive at the Overflow Shelter starting at 6pm. Check-in is open until 9pm daily. Beds are reserved through Shelter Services for the evening with limited openings.
