ENERGY CONSERVATION / HEALTHY HOMES PROGRAM | OMAHA CITY OFFICES

Grant program to identify and make minor repairs up to $5,000 that increase the energy efficiency and provide healthy home improvements to homes for low/moderate income households living east of 72nd Street in Omaha.

Energy Conservation modifications and improvements may include:
-- Install/replace storm windows and storm doors
-- Limited attic and rim joist insulation
-- Water heater insulation
-- Minor weatherization
-- Seal HVAC duct seams
-- LED light bulbs
-- Replace thermostats

Healthy Homes modifications and improvements may include:
-- Install/replace dryer ducts and vents
-- Install/repair handrails and guards
-- Limited mold remediation/prevention
-- Limited flooring and subfloor replacement in kitchens and bathrooms
-- Limited drywall/plaster repair
-- Repair wooden stairs
-- Repair insect screens
-- Provide CO/smoke detectors and fire extinguishers
-- Minor security improvements
-- Provide HVAC filters
-- Minor accessibility improvements
-- NO AC Repair

Individuals that own and occupy their single family home within Omaha city limits east of 72nd Street; Current on property taxes and assessments; Minimum current fire policy insurance on the house; Must meet income guidelines of 80% or below the HUD median family income
