Individuals, families needing help with their home heating bills for the winter months, must fall within 200% of poverty guidelines

Required documents

Social Security cards for everyone in the household, income verification for the past 90 days, and latest utility bills (gas and electric)

LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) provides supplemental help for the winter heating bills November 1st through April 15th: LIHEAP Crisis Assistance when funding available provides in a life threatening situation fuel, heaters, furnace repair; furnace replacement for homeowners when funds available. Applications are accepted October 1-April 30 for elderly or disabled households and November 1-April 30 for all other households. May have some crisis funding available outside the normal LIHEAP months, call local County Outreach Office for availability of funding.
