Rental Assistance | Cunningham Township

Must live or intend to get a lease in Cunningham Township (this includes most but not all of the City of Urbana), have an income, and cannot have received rental assistance from Cunningham Township, City or Champaign Township or RPC in the past 2 years, if working individual's rent cannot be over 60% of income, if on a fixed income individual's rent cannot be over 60% of income, the individual's name must either be on the current lease or will be on the lease of the intended unit, and individual must not have an active court case for eviction

Completed application, photo ID's for all household members, a signed current lease for the current unit or an unsigned lease offer for the intended unit, proof of income for the past 30 days for all adult household members displaying name, rental ledger displaying name, address, and all payments/charges to the account since it last had a $0 balance, release of information that allows Cunningham Township to at least contact the individual's landlord

Mon-Thu 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Fri 1 pm-4:30 pm

Must fill out and submit an application with required documentation to the office (can use the mail slot on the front door or submit an application email), applications can be found posted outside the front door of the office of on the website as PDF files
