Financial assistance for help with rent (must have an eviction notice) and utilities (must have a shut off notice), based on funding available. Volunteers complete a home visit with community members to assess needs.

Application process

Visit website to apply online (quicker processing) or call for services and a volunteer will call back within 1-3 days to complete the online process; No in-person visits to the St. Vincent de Paul sites; In-person interviews at a partnering Catholic Church is required for most applicants

Eligibility

- Funding varies depending on ZIP Code or Parish - Rent funding prioritizes eviction notices - Utilities funding prioritizes shut-off notices - Utility assistance also available through Dollar Energy, if client meets requirements - Clients that do not live within supported ZIP Codes or Parishes could be eligible for assistance through the Ozanam Outreach committee; this committee can only help clients once per lifetime
