SUBSTANCE ABUSE EDUCATION/PREVENTION | MADD (MOTHERS AGAINST DRUNK DRIVING) - NATIONAL

Provides counseling and advocacy to survivors of drunk driving. Also offer information about the judicial process, individual and family support.

HOTLINE is answered 24 hours/day by a trained victim advocate during business hours and an answering service nights and weekends. Victim advocates are on call 24 hours/day via a pager system. In many cases victims are referred back to MADD Chapters in their community or MADD state offices. Local number reaches an answering machine with advocate response to victims within 24 hours. The victim advocate at the national office will handle the case if appropriate or if no local chapter is available. Injured persons and supporters as well as those for survivors dealing with the death of a loved one through the actions of a drunken driver.
