Medical/Forensic Exam Services | S.A.F.E Center of Iowa

Offers medical and forensic examination services and follow-up care for individuals who have experienced an assault. Services include medical assessment and documentation of injuries, STI testing and preventive treatment including HIV prophylaxis, emergency contraception, forensic documentation and evidence collection, follow-up care, and coordination with victim advocates and law enforcement when requested. Nurses may be available to provide court testimony when needed. Mental health support may also be available through individual and group therapy, occupational therapy, breath work, and other services.
