Offers emergency shelter and child welfare services to youth in Mason City, Des Moines, and Ames. The shelter provides a safe place for youth in crisis—including those who have run away, are experiencing homelessness, have been abused or neglected, or are adjudicated and waiting for court action.
Services include food; 24-hour adult supervision; assistance with needs, including clothing and personal hygiene items; crisis mediation; group and individual support; and referrals for specialized services.
