The County Attorney's office is responsible for enforcement of laws and providing legal advice and defense to the county officials. Some of the duties of the County Attorney include prosecution of all crimes committed in the county; defense of the county in all actions brought against it; collection of money due on forfeited bonds; serving as the legal adviser for the Board of Supervisors and other county officials in official business; and convening the grand jury.
