The County Attorney's office provides the prosecution of crimes in the county and provides crime victim/witness services. This office is responsible for the enforcement of laws and providing legal advice and defense to the county officials. Duties also include prosecution of all crimes committed in the county; defense of the county in all action brought against it; collection of money due on forfeited bonds; legal advising for the Board of Supervisors and other county officials in official business; and convening the grand jury.
