ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM | MCHENRY COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH

Offers help to prevent disease and improve the quality of life in McHenry County. Aims to identify and address environmental concerns that impact human health by providing, public education, investigation of citizen complaints, inspections.

The enforcement of the Public Health Ordinance, specific areas include, food protection, water laboratory, potable water, private sewage treatment and disposal, solid waste management (recycling, response to complaints), public health nuisances, surveillance of West Nile virus, body art, tanning and public beaches.
