NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group (CRSG) is a National Alliance on Mental Illness' support group. It is for anyone 18+ who is experiencing mental distress &/or mental illness. It is completely free for those attending, and there is no registration or appointment necessary.

NAMI Connection is a Peer Facilitated support group for any adult with a mental health concern, or any mental health diagnosis. The group Facilitators are volunteers who receive 15 hours of training to lead the group. All Connection Facilitators have lived experience of mental illness. NAMI Johnson County's section of CRSG regularly meets at R Place Peer Recovery Center every Tuesday evening from 5:30-7pm. The group will be cancelled if a) the Iowa City Community School District cancels school that day due to inclement weather; b) it is a major national holiday.
