The five strategic directions for Buffalo County include High Impact Prevention Services (decrease substance and alcohol misuse, increase number of adults reporting Alzheimer's and dementia), Eliminate Health Disparities (increase number of adults with health insurance and decrease barriers to health care), Healthy Eating and Active Living (increase physical activity, decrease BMI, increase consumption of fruits and vegetables), Injury-Free Living (increase reporting of child abuse and domestic assault, decrease suicide ideation and attempts), and Healthy Homes and Sustainable Communities (increase home ownership and number of quality rentals). Coalitions meet regularly to plan action around goal attainment
