Fluzone High Dose provides a higher dose of antigen in the vaccine and is designed to give older people a better immune response. The cost for a quadravalent flu shot for individuals 6 months through 64 years without insurance is $25. The Polk County Health Department also hosts community flu based clinics to give residents multiple opportunities to get their vaccine.
