OELWEIN EMERGENCY FOOD PANTRY | COMMUNITY KITCHEN CUPBOARD / OELWEIN KITCHEN CUPBOARD

The Community Kitchen Cupboard supplies food to individuals and families up to 4 times a year or twice in a 6 month interval. Enough food is provided to subsidize meals for 10 days according to the family size. Canned and non-perishable foods are given from supplies on hand and vouchers may be given for up to $37 for fresh food. The food pantry is serving clients thru the window at the present time. Customers are asked to drive up to the window to be served. There are volunteers that can assist with loading items into the vehicle, if needed.

Application process

People need to have a referral from an agency (5 different agencies give out referral forms) before going to or contacting the food pantry; people can get referrals from the following agencies: Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation Goodwill Industries of Northeast Iowa Parent Share and Support - Family Resource Center QCI - Quality Choices WIC - Clayton County Visiting Nurse Association; Call for information on additional referring agencies
