WOMEN, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN PROGRAM (WIC) | OPERATION THRESHOLD
The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children - better known as the WIC program - serves to safeguard the health of low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants, and children up to age 5 who are at nutritional risk by providing nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating including breastfeeding promotion and support, and referrals to health care.

Must meet income eligibility, open to pregnant women (during pregnancy and up to 6 weeks after the birth of an infant or the end of the pregnancy), postpartum (up to six months after the birth of the infant or the end of the pregnancy), breastfeeding (up to the infant's first birthday), Infants (up to the infant's first birthday), Children (up to the child's fifth birthday)
