LA VOZ LATINA - ILLINOIS WELCOMING CENTER | YWCA NORTHWESTERN ILLINOIS

Provides assistance to immigrants and refugees to navigate Illinois' human services delivery system. Services include linguistically and culturally sensitive case management and service coordination, emergency and crisis services, and "Know Your Rights" workshops to educate individuals and families about resources and information aimed at strengthening the immigrant community.

The program also features the Access to Justice (A2J) initiative, a large-scale Community Navigator Program that provides deportation protection education and legal defense.

Additionally, support may be available to help immigrants and refugees prepare for, find, and retain employment, including vocational assessment, job search assistance, professional mentoring, and guidance to gain recognition for professional experience obtained in another country. These services aim to facilitate successful integration into the workforce and community.
