DMACC Center for Career and Professional Development | Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC)

Offers the following services:

- ESL (English as a Second Language) program for individuals who speak, read, and write best in a language other than English and wish to improve their English language skills. Courses range from entry-level English to college-prep English.

- HiSET and High School Completion Center, providing testing and preparation for high school equivalency.

- Adult Literacy program offering opportunities for adults to enhance literacy skills and refresh basics in reading, writing, and math. Classes are available at various locations in and around Des Moines in collaboration with local schools and organizations.

- Citizenship Education programs that prepare individuals to take the oath of U.S. citizenship and understand the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. These courses help immigrants gain knowledge of American culture, institutions, and ideals, as well as U.S. history, the Constitution, and the structure and functions of government.

- College (core) classes for DMACC's associate degree programs and non-credit classes for personal and professional development.

- Continuing Education classes offered at DMACC.

- Business consulting services.
