NICU FAMILY SUPPORT | MARCH OF DIMES NEBRASKA AND WESTERN IOWA

Helps moms and families through every stage of pregnancy and throughout the NICU journey. When a baby needs NICU care, the NICU Family Support program is there to empower, educate and support their families.

Services are built around three main areas: parent education, staff education, and improvin gpatient and family experience.

Parent education materials are available digitally and in print in English and Spanish. Digital resources include the My NICU Baby and Mi Beb en la NICU Apps. An evaluated parent education curriculum with seven topic choices to meet a variety of NICU parent education needs is provided.

NICU staff have access to live and archived webinar series with free CNEs is provided for all hospital staff. All staff have access to live and archived presentations on hot topics in patient experience, family centered care, quality improvement and NICU best practices.

Provides quality improvement consulting on unit specific goals to impact patient experience and family centered care, including annual Patient Experience Projects and connection to the network of NICU Family Support partner hospitals.

Babies admitted to the NICU at CHI Health Bergan Mercy or Nebraska Medicine will automatically have access to the March of Dimes NICU Family Support Coordinator
