MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATIONS | NAMI NORTHEAST IOWA
NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) provides educational classes about mental illness for families; for adults living with a mental illness; and for the general public. NAMI provides support resources for family members and individuals affected by mental illness; and provides advocacy training to help the public work to improve mental health resources. NAMI also works to improve current laws, legislation and promotes research. This is a locally led affiliate of NAMI Iowa and the national NAMI organization. Crisis Text Line: text NAMI to 741-741. People living with mental illness, and friends and families of people with chronic mental illness and other interested persons; serves Allamakee, Clayton, Fayette, Howard, and Winneshiek Counties
Fee
Membership not necessary to attend events and groups; annual membership is $60 for a family, $40 for individuals, or $5 for an Open Door membership for an individual member with limited financial resources
