ELEVATE PROGRAM | WORKFORCE CONNECTION, THE
Provides assistance to out-of-school youth ages 16-24 who are overcoming barriers to employment, including lacking skills to obtain a high school diploma or equivalency certificate, low income, homelessness, involvement with the judicial system, transportation barriers, or experiences of discrimination based on age, gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or marital status.
Participants engage in academic programming and skill-building activities in construction or urban agriculture, such as building or rehabilitating housing for low-income families. Leadership development includes classes, activities, and organizational leadership roles, equipping youth to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
