DECORAH COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY - TEFAP PROVIDER | DECORAH COMMUNITY FOOD PANTRY

Decorah Community Food Pantry provides free food including canned products, meats, produce and dry goods; household items including cleaning supplies, paper products; and personal hygiene products may available. Donations of products and cash accepted. Individuals and families may visit once a week. People select their own items amount based on family size. This is a participating TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) food pantry. Enrollment into TEFAP is confidential and requires proof of address and identification. Individuals participating in the FoodShare, School Nutrition Program, WIC, or Senior Meals programs may participate in TEFAP without impacting their ability to qualify for those programs.

Call to schedule an appointment or schedule an appointment online; food pantry is closed when Decorah schools are closed (including weather related closures); not open major holidays

Eligibility

TEFAP eligibility is income based (combined household incomes below 300% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL); access has expanded beginning June 2020 from the previous eligibility level of 185% FPL; serves Winneshiek County and the surrounding area
