BRIGHT BEGINNINGS, NURSE FAMILY PARTNERSHIP AND GENESIS FAMILY CONNECTS | GENESIS VNA AND HOSPICE

Bright Beginnings provides support and education to pregnant women, parents of newborns, and families with children ages birth to 5. The program is voluntary but does require commitment on the part of parents to meet with assigned workers on a regular basis. A Family Support Worker (FSW) provides in-home visits to provide support, basic childcare, child development information, and parenting education through a curriculum-based program, and links the family to other health resources.

Genesis Family Connects offers a nursing visit to new moms and babies 2-3 weeks after delivery from the hospital. Focus on assessing family needs and connecting family to additional support services.

Nurse Family Partnership connects a nurse with a first time mom before 28-weeks gestation. The program is voluntary but does require commitment on the part of parents to meet with assigned nurses on a regular basis. A Registered Nurse provides in-home visits to provide support, medical education and assessment, child development information, and parenting education through an evidence -based program, and links the family to other health resources.
