AARP TAX PREPARATION | AARP - NEBRASKA INFORMATION CENTER
Tax preparation for low and moderate income taxpayers of all ages, with special attention to people 60 and older during tax season (Feb 1-April 15, 2024).
The following options are available for taxpayer preparation assistance, vary by location and are subject to change:
DROP-OFF PREPARATION: In-person meeting. Appointments must be scheduled in advance; days and hours vary by Tax Site location. Appointment setting details can be found on the website. Returns will normally be prepared the day of the appointment.
VIRTUAL PREPARATION: Online or phone preparation and documents are exchanged electronically. Visit website and search for "Nebraska Virtual Site".
SELF-PREPARATION: Visit website and select "Self-Filing Software" to input one's own information and file return electronically. Taxpayers using this software can request help from an IRS-certified counselor to coach them through the process by phone or through computer screen-sharing.
