Driver's License or state ID, social security card or birth certificate, proof of income for every one in the household, lease (for rent) or original utility bill and disconnect notice and or notice of extension (for utilities)

Description

Rent and utility assistance for those with an immediate need, such as a utility disconnection notice or an eviction notice from the landlord.

- Those who live outside of Douglas or Sarpy County and are in need of utility assistance must call the HeatShare program: (402) 898-5942 or (402) 898-5894.

- Those who live inside of Douglas or Sarpy County and need help paying utility bills must call the Utility Help line at (402) 898-5966.

HeatShare is a Salvation Army-Black Hills Energy partnership that provides emergency utility assistance for individuals and families in greater Nebraska.
