Eligibility

Open to individuals living in Menard or Sangamon County, must be currently employed or temporarily unemployed (due to no fault of the individual), cannot be receiving help for mortgage or rent from other government, faith-based, or nonprofit organizations, experienced a significant financial hardship that has resulted in an increase in expenses, must meet income guidelines

Provides one-time emergency financial assistance up to $1,500 to families who have recently faced a significant financial setback. The fund is designed to help cover urgent needs such as rent or mortgage payments to avoid eviction, car repairs so a parent can get to work, or childcare costs, so employment is not lost.

All payments go directly to vendors such as verified landlords, repair shops, and childcare providers.
