Volunteer mediators bring offenders and victims of crime together for a face to face meeting. The goal is for parties most affected by criminal actions to have an opportunity to safely meet; assisted by a volunteer mediator, to discuss: what happened, how it felt when it happened, how it feels now, what is needed for restitution. Specialized training is offered to anyone interested in becoming a volunteer mediator. Time commitment for volunteer hours will vary depending upon the cases referred.
