FAYETTE COUNTY COVID-19 VACCINE INFORMATION | FAYETTE AND CLAYTON COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES
Centers for Disease Control and the Iowa Department of Public Health recommends CoVID-19 vaccines for everyone 6 months and older and boosters for everyone 5 years and older. If anyone is interested in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, they can call their primary health care provider or Public Health for information or to schedule an appointment. The vaccine is free, and proof of insurance, ID, or citizenship is not required. The CDC recommends the pediatric Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine series for everyone ages 5 years and older. Families should call their children’s vaccine provider to inquire about scheduling an appointment to have their children vaccinated. Pharmacies throughout the state are also administering the vaccine. Iowans with questions about the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine should speak with their child’s healthcare provider.
