Five nights a week between December and February, our mobile food trucks make multiple stops across the city to distribute hot meals and beverages, as well as winter coats, gloves, hats, socks and blankets to anyone in need.

Canteen distributes food, warm clothing, and spiritual comfort to people in need.

Call for specific locations. Canteens make stops in multiple locations on their central route, which is near downtown, as well as a North Omaha and South Omaha route.

For winter 2024-2025:

The program will start Nov 27 and run through Mar 1. Team members will serve out of the Salvation Army canteens Mon-Fri during the season. Each truck has designated stops, and it will serve a hot meal and distribute winter items to homeless or near-homeless individuals and families in the community.

Donations being collected at this time are as listed: new or gently used coats for both men and women, hats, gloves, scarves, blankets, and new socks.

Monetary Donations may be mailed to 10755 Burt Street, Omaha, NE 68114. The proceeds will go to the Winter Night Watch Program.
