Central Navigation can help find flexible and supportive funding to help in emergencies, connect with partner agencies to help with a specific need, and connect with community training or mentoring programs that are designed to help each family thrive.
Helps meet immediate needs such as rental and utility assistance, gas vouchers and work-related expenses. Helps anyone develop their own solutions through coaching for budgeting, parenting, employment, and application and enrollment assistance.
Provides assistance on a temporary basis for a limited time for basic needs that may include rent/lot rent, utilities-gas, electric, water, and food vouchers for clients who are unable to work. Cannot be on Subsidized Housing, or a Veteran.

Thrift Store vouchers available for clients in need of clothing, household goods, bedding, or furniture. Volunteers complete a home visit with community members to assess needs.

Provides short term, emergency assistance to residents of Johnson County. Assistance includes rent, lot rent, utilities (gas, electric, water), non-food and emergency food vouchers. Assistance is possible up to 3 months in a 12 month period. A new application must be submitted each month assistance is needed. Rent assistance will not be used to supplements Section 8 Housing Assistance or other federally subsidized units. Veterans are referred to Johnson County Veterans Affairs. If not currently employed, all adult members of the household must be actively seeking employment. Applicants who state they are unable to work may be required to provide written verification from a doctor.
Can assist, when funding is available, eligible individuals and families with limited resources in need of help with past due or disconnected utilities, past due rent or mortgage, emergency medical and/or dental services, costs to engage in Mental Health services, costs to maintain or gain internet or phone access, transportation, vehicle repairs, swim lessons, seasonal swim passes, and costs associated with participation in extracurricular activities.
**While some costs may be covered under Federal funding sources, the Crisis Assistance program is largely funded by grants and donations. All Assistance identified above is dependent on available funding.

General Assistance helps with rent and utility payments that prevent eviction or utility shut-off. Funding for direct cremation with no services for residents, when other resources are not available.
A fund that provides emergency assistance to help with utility or rent deposits, disconnects, rent eviction prevention, and utility(disconnect) prevention. Payments are made directly to the vendors and landlords. Maximum assistance is $200.
